Salop Design & Engineering supplies precision metal components and assemblies into the domestic appliance and HVAC sectors, where cost competitiveness must coexist with high cosmetic and functional standards.
Materials
We process a wide range of materials including CR4, DX and galvanised steels, stainless steel (e.g. 430/304), and coated substrates, typically in thin to medium gauges. Our core processes—progression presswork, transfer presswork, laser profiling, bending/forming and welded sub-assemblies—are optimised for high repeatability and long-run stability.

Detail
Components often require tight control over flatness, edge condition, burr height, hole positional accuracy and form geometry, especially for mating panels, brackets and structural supports. Where visible or consumer-facing, we manage surface finish class, gloss level, orange-peel, and colour tolerance via in-house shot blasting and powder coating, achieving corrosion resistance validated through salt spray testing and film-thickness measurement.
Process
Process control is underpinned by ISO 9001 systems, documented work instructions, in-process inspection plans, and attribute and variable gauging appropriate to the product. Changeovers and tooling strategies are engineered to support mixed-model production, allowing customers to manage variant complexity without compromising delivery performance.
