All services are fully integrated into our production and logistics workflows, with delivery performance managed through our internal Salop Haulage Logistics operation. This ensures short lead times, high traceability, and complete project control.

Powder Coating

Our two in-house powder coating lines are equipped with rapid-change booths, phosphate pretreatment systems and Industry 4.0-enabled process control, ensuring repeatable and traceable quality across high-volume production. Powder coating provides a highly durable finish with excellent corrosion resistance, abrasion protection, and UV stability. We routinely achieve salt spray resistance exceeding 1,000 hours, suitable for automotive and outdoor-grade performance requirements.

Additionally, we can perform colour changeovers in under 10 minutes, allowing for exceptional flexibility in scheduling and fast turnaround. Powder coating typically requires higher cure temperatures (180–200°C) but offers better energy efficiency per part in large-batch applications due to its fast throughput and low rework rate. This positions powder coating as a preferred sustainable finishing method for applications where appearance and long-term durability are critical.

Powder Coating Services

Powder coating is one of the most environmentally responsible surface finishing technologies available today. Unlike traditional wet paint or some chemical finishes, powder coating is a dry, solvent-free process that emits zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds), making it inherently safer for both operators and the environment. Overspray can be reclaimed and reused, offering material utilisation rates of up to 95% in closed-loop systems.

Shot Blasting

Shot blasting is used for surface preparation prior to coating, ensuring optimal paint adhesion and substrate consistency. Our automated and manual systems remove mill scale, oxides, and surface contaminants. We use a range of blasting media to produce tailored anchor profiles, suitable for mild steel, stainless steel, and castings.

Electroplating

Electroplating provides a metallic coating through an electrochemical process, enhancing wear resistance, corrosion protection, and electrical conductivity. We support a range of finishes including bright zinc, nickel, and tin plating. Rack and barrel plating options are available for various part geometries and batch sizes, with consistent thickness and cosmetic quality.

Electrocoating (E-Coat)

Electrocoating, commonly referred to as e-coat, is a high-performance, water-based immersion coating process that provides uniform, edge-retentive corrosion protection—even on complex geometries and internal cavities. The process uses an electrical charge to deposit a controlled film thickness over conductive substrates, ensuring complete and consistent coverage.

E-coat is particularly suited for high-volume applications in the automotive, construction, and industrial sectors, where durability, repeatability, and cost-efficiency are essential. It also provides an excellent base for powder coating or wet paint topcoats, improving overall system performance.

Galvanising

Hot dip galvanising involves immersing components in molten zinc, forming a metallurgically bonded coating that provides superior long-term corrosion protection. This finish is particularly suited for structural steel parts and external applications where weather and environmental exposure are key factors. Coating thicknesses up to 140μm can be achieved in line with ISO 1461.

Anodising

Anodising is an electrochemical treatment applied primarily to aluminium components. It enhances corrosion resistance, increases surface hardness, and allows for decorative colouring. We offer both Type II (decorative) and Type III (hard anodise) solutions with precise control over layer thickness, pore sealing, and cosmetic uniformity. Anodising is ideal for aerospace, electronics, and architectural products.

Grinding, Polishing & Buffing

These mechanical finishing techniques are used to improve surface smoothness, flatness, and appearance. We apply grinding for tight tolerance and flatness control, polishing for medium-lustre finishes, and buffing for high-gloss or mirror surfaces. Suitable for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, these processes are ideal for stainless steel, aluminium, and tooling components where form and finish are critical.
